Back from laziness..

Hey Guys!

Well, it's been a long lazy journey since I did my last workout and wrote my last blog.

Hoping to use my rusty brains in the right frame of mind, which would make some sense out of my lazy journey.

Jotting down things that I want to express..!

Let’s see..! Shall start with the toughest thing after I had the longest break ever.

I guess it was the mental preparation to convince myself that I’ve to get back to my schedule of Crossfit and mind it no break! I was fairly able to do that just before the registration for CrossFit open began, now I knew that I was terrible out the shape for participation, nevertheless, I did register but had no clue of how fast I would be able to get fit for it. I began training just 2 weeks before the open with the most basic WOD:

5 rounds of:

20 burpees with a break of 1 min

This seems to be quite easy but gets the hell outta you. You add 5 reps to each set as days go by, this is the best full-body movement & increases your stamina tremendously. Not enough to participate in the open though..😅😅

Not that I did this for the entire 2 weeks, i took a break again after a week or so...😁😁😁 As I said the toughest part was mental prep, which I was still facing and finally came over it only in the 1st week of Open since I didn’t have any option but to participate perform the WOD.

So 19.1 was devastating as I tried the Rx’d WOD and was one hell of an experience…

After week 1 was done I was a bit relieved but not for long as 19.2 had already come to realization..😅😅 Here I took pity on myself and did the scaled WOD, actually, the WOD was too much to go Rx’d.. Thanx to scaled I was able to survive..😌

Beginning on an 8-minute clock, complete as many reps as possible of:

  25 hanging knee-raises

  50 single-unders

  15 squat cleans, 95 lb.

  25 hanging knee-raises

  50 single-unders

  13 squat cleans, 115 lb.

If completed before 8 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

  25 hanging knee-raises

  50 single-unders

  11 squat cleans, 135 lb.

If completed before 12 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

  25 hanging knee-raises

  50 single-unders

  9 squat cleans, 155 lb.

If completed before 16 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

  25 hanging knee-raises

  50 single-unders

  7 squat cleans, 185 lb.

Stop at 20 minutes.

19.3

For time:

200-ft. dumbbell front-rack lunge

50 dumbbell box step-ups

50 5-in. elevated strict handstand push-ups

200-ft. bear crawl

50-lb. dumbbell, 24-in. box

Time cap: 10 minutes

19.4

For total time:

3 rounds of:

  10 snatches

  12 bar-facing burpees

Then, rest 3 minutes before continuing with:

3 rounds of:

  10 chin-over-bar pull-ups

  12 bar-facing burpees

Men snatch 65 lb., may step over the bar on the burpees

Time cap: 12 minutes

19.5 attempted Rx’d

33-27-21-15-9 reps for time of:

95-lb. thrusters

Chest-to-bar pull-ups

Time cap: 20 minutes

And finally, after 5 weeks of fun, I was able to get back into the rhythm & have managed to continue with my regular WOD.

Believe me that it's only a mental block that stands between what you wanna achieve & where you are today... I keep telling my close ones you control your mind & you will see things change, but if you let your mind take overall you are left with is a negative feeling & fear...

“Go all out & you will see the difference..”

It’s time to brag now.. This has been my 2nd participation in the Open & I’m really proud of it..😎😎 There is a sense of pride that I’m doing something out of the box in a country where we are humongous in terms of population, there were only 950 participants from India in the Open. My performance compared to last year has been really awesome and that gives me the boost.

Global Ranking:

2019: 1,70,768th

2018: 2,12,428th

All of this was achievable only coz of the support, guidance & coaching received from my coach & bro Pradeep, which would not be possible on this platform... A wonderful person and someone you can always look up to... He’s been a blessing & has played an important role to get me all motivated & focused towards achieving my goals…

This is just the beginning of what I actually wanna achieve... Now is the time to go all out... You never know until you have tried it..!

I hope my rusty brains were sensible..😄😄

Stay fit, live fit..!
